Visuail®

Privacy Policy

Effective starting: Jan 21, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Visuail LLC ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and services.

1. Information We Collect

A. Personal Information

Information you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, and any other contact or identifying information.

B. Web Analytics (Privacy-Friendly)

We use a privacy-friendly web analytics service to understand overall traffic patterns (e.g., page views, referrers, device type, country/state). This analytics does not use cookies and does not collect or store personally identifiable information. The data is aggregated and anonymous.

C. Product Analytics, Feedback & Experiments

To improve the product experience and AI quality, we collect limited product analytics and feedback inside the app. This may include:

Product analytics may be associated with your account (if logged in) or an app-generated identifier. We do not use third-party ad trackers, and we do not sell your personal information.

D. Technical Information

When you use our services, our systems may automatically record technical information such as IP address (stored or truncated per security needs), browser or device type, operating system, timestamps, and diagnostic logs for reliability and security.

If you use our Chrome Extension, we may temporarily process screen and audio data that you record.

E. Cookies & Local Storage

We don't use cookies for web analytics. Some essential features of the app (e.g., login/session, experiment assignment, or remembering preferences) may use first-party cookies or local storage. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share data with trusted service providers that assist us in operating our business (e.g., hosting, analytics, error monitoring, A/B testing, email delivery). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your information and use it only on our instructions.

B. Third-Party Integrations (CRM and Marketing Platforms)

4. Data Retention

If you choose to connect third-party integrations, such as customer relationship management (CRM) or marketing automation platforms, we may share limited information with those services at your direction. This may include contact identifiers (such as email address) and interactive demo engagement data from known users or viewers. Data is shared only when an integration is explicitly enabled by you and only for the purpose of supporting your configured sales, marketing, or analytics workflows. Anonymous demo views are not shared with third-party integrations.

We retain your data only as long as necessary for the purposes outlined in this policy or as required by law. Feedback signals (e.g., survey answers) used for product improvement may be retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to measure long-term quality trends. We periodically aggregate or de-identify data where feasible.

5. Your Choices & Rights

You have the right to:

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@visuail.com.

6. Your California Privacy Choices

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

You may designate an authorized agent to make these requests on your behalf. We will verify your identity before processing any such requests. To make a request, email support@visuail.com with the subject line "California Privacy Request."

7. Security

We take commercially reasonable steps to protect your personal information, including encryption, access controls, and regular monitoring.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you via email or by posting a notice on our site.

9. Use of AI and Third-Party Providers

Some features of the Service rely on third-party artificial intelligence (AI) models (e.g., to generate draft content). This may involve sending user-provided inputs (such as text you enter) and related context to these providers to generate responses or content.

Some features of the Service allow users to generate synthetic voiceovers from text. To provide this functionality, we use third-party text-to-speech service providers. When you request a synthetic voiceover, the text you submit is transmitted securely to these providers solely for the purpose of generating audio output. We apply data minimization and access controls and do not permit providers to use your inputs for advertising purposes.

Voiceovers are generated using third-party text-to-speech providers, which process your text solely to produce audio.

We do not use AI to make automated decisions about you. Any data processed through third-party providers is subject to their own privacy practices. Where feasible, we minimize the data we send and apply access controls.

10. Screen and Audio Capture | Web App and Chrome Extension

Certain features of the Visuail platform, including the web app and Chrome Extension, allow you to record your screen, browser tab, application window, and/or microphone audio. These features are only activated when you explicitly choose to start a recording and grant the required browser or system permissions.

The recording data may include visual content displayed on your device, open applications, and any audio captured from your microphone or system. Recordings are securely transmitted (via HTTPS) to our servers for processing, editing, and storage.

Data Collected: Screen and/or audio recordings, overlay interaction events (such as clicks and timestamps) collected only while recording is active, and minimal session metadata. Authentication tokens (e.g., Supabase tokens) are held client-side only and are not logged by Visuail.

Account identifiers (such as a user ID) may be associated with recordings and related metadata to link uploads to your account.

AI Voice Playback During Recording: Some recording workflows allow users to preview or monitor synthetic (AI-generated) voice narration during screen recording. When enabled, this audio playback is for user guidance only and is not captured as part of the screen recording. Synthetic narration is generated and applied to the final output only after recording is complete. Microphone and system audio capture are disabled during these workflows unless explicitly enabled by the user.

The Chrome Extension UI (including any script or teleprompter-style guidance) runs locally within the user's browser and is not included in recorded media. Script content displayed during recording is not transmitted or stored unless the user explicitly saves or submits it as part of the demo workflow.

Storage and Access: Recordings and related files are stored in Supabase Storage under your authenticated user account. Access is limited to you and the Visuail backend services necessary to provide functionality (e.g., playback, editing, AI processing). No third parties are granted access.

Retention: Recordings remain stored until you choose to delete them. There is currently no automatic expiration period.

Processing: An optional AI pipeline may analyze uploaded videos server-side to generate draft callouts or other annotations. These generated results are stored in the Supabase callouts table associated with your account.

Transmission and Security: All data transfers, including uploads, downloads, and API requests, occur over secure HTTPS connections.

User Control: You can review and delete your recordings at any time through the dashboard or editor. Deleting a recording permanently removes it from storage. Extension session tokens are stored in chrome.storage.local and may persist until you sign out or manually remove them; revoking permissions or clearing the extension's storage removes stored tokens.

Permissions: The Chrome Extension only requests permissions necessary to provide recording and demo functionality (tabs, activeTab, scripting, offscreen, storage). Permissions are requested contextually and can be revoked at any time through Chrome's extension settings.

Visuail complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and all applicable privacy regulations. We never sell, share, or use your recordings for advertising purposes.
